JOB TITLE:

Solar Installers, Electricians, and Helpers – Full-time position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PEP Solar is seeking to hire immediately, hard-working experienced Solar Installers, Electricians, and helpers (will train) to join our Arizona Team!
The Solar Installer is part of PEP Solar’s Integration Operations team. As a skilled member of the team, the Solar Installer will help with the installations of residential PV solar systems, battery storage, level 2 EV chargers, solar hvac, etc. The ideal candidate will provide electrical expertise that will contribute to the overall success of installing PEP Solar’s energy products. We are also looking for helpers. All necessary training, tools and equipment will be provided.

If Electrician: The Electrician will work with a team on the commission of Solar energy management control systems. The successful Electrician will be responsible for bending and installing conduit, pulling & terminating wire, cable, equipment, panels and various control components and devices. Other responsibilities include fabrication of control panels, installation of interlocking wiring and performance of wiring check out, and assistance of systems start-up.

If Helper: We will train you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete residential Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
• Work with peers and leadership to evaluate job requirements and cost
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues
• Maintain efforts of a safe work practice with the Field Operations team
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the process by educating customers about the product(s) and offering real-time updates on job status
• Document and update job status in the company database
• Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings on new products, installation methodology and safety
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have good Driver’s License and dependable transportation to office
• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
• Position may require working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs
• Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
• Must meet all OSHA standards for working at heights including:
• Ability to climb and utilize equipment on site.
• Must meet OSHA fall protection standards for at height work limits. Will provide OSHA training.
• Must be able to meet equipment standards for fall protection (harness, anchor, ropes, etc.)
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills required
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements
• Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc
• Understanding of NEC codes
• Must be flexible and willing to work various shifts at different job sites – including some Saturday work
• Must be drug free and pass a pre-employment drug screening

THE POSITION:

• Manage a territory of 30,000 people

Essential Functions:

• Answer & screen incoming calls from a multi-line phone system
• Perform all daily reception, customer service, phone and messaging related tasks
• Place and track orders of supplies and other needed items
• Route mail, manage deliveries, express mail, and package shipments
• Maintain/publish associated calendars
• Maintain lobby security
• Perform kitchen duties associated with coffee, refreshments, dishwashers, and refrigerators
• File management through scanning, archiving, updating and destruction
